Are you interested in purchasing a Kanagawa katana? At Kaizen Sword Art, you will find impressive Japanese katanas, including the historic Kanagawa katana. This sword was inspired by the famous Battle of Kanagawa, which took place during the Sengoku period in the 16th century. In this battle, the Oda and Hōjō troops fought against each other, with the Hōjō family trying to expand their influence after the death of Oda Nobunaga.

The Kanagawa katana honors the brave struggle of Takigawa Kazumasu, who stood against a force of 55,000 Hōjō troops with his 18,000 soldiers. Despite his ultimate defeat, this sword is a symbol of the courage and determination of the warriors of that time.

In collaboration with experienced artisans, Kaizen Sword Art crafts the Kanagawa katana of exceptional quality. The blade is made of HCS 1095 steel and features a clay-hardened hamon, which not only provides visual splendor, such as the distinctive O-Kissaki (long tip), but also unmatched durability.

The fuchi and kashira feature a mon, a Japanese family crest, which gives the sword even deeper symbolic significance. A mon represents the lineage and honor of a samurai family.

The presence of a mon on these parts enhances the sense of connection to Japanese culture and tradition, making the sword a unique and personal heirloom.

This sword is fully functional (battle-ready) and suitable for both collectors and martial artists seeking an authentic, functional weapon.
